INTRODUCTION

There is a large amount of information and advice available for students regarding their finances but, unfortunately, most do not know where to find it. It is advice I could have benefited from during my recent student years which perhaps could have prevented me from making the crucial mistakes I did. One example was signing up for a credit card in first year – I spent just because I could. It resulted in my parents bailing me out, luckily, as I do not know what I would have done otherwise. Your credit rating will be very important in the future so it is not worth the risk.
